Teaching Philosophy

Teaching is one of the greatest honors I could ever experience because to be able to teach, students need to put their trust and respect in me. Therefore, I promised myself to always show respect to all my students. I strongly believe that teacher’s attitude plays a significant role in increasing and maintaining student’s motivation and passion for learning music.

When working with beginners and young students, I believe that learning to play the piano is a life-long process. Much like building a house, a strong foundation is essential for long-term growth. A solid understanding of musical basics such as rhythm, pitch, harmony, and coordination is crucial to becoming a well-rounded pianist.

Research consistently shows that children who receive music training often perform better academically than their peers. In my own teaching experience, I’ve seen how learning music enhances essential life skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, memory, organization, and creativity. I believe that musical education is not only beneficial for artistic development but also contributes significantly to overall personal growth.

Above all, I believe that music is beautiful and fun! Playing piano is also a way to express our emotion and connect with people. My goal is to help students to achieve their best potential and I am fully aware that every student has different needs. All of my private lessons will be adjusted to what every student need.
